Don, I like your framing on this one because it seems to mimic the texture of the rope. On some of your other shots, I am not sure it works for me. I like the image tones and lines very much.

Great sharpness, detail, texture and tonal range. And the composition is good too! An outstanding B&W!

No Den, I don't think there is a difference, maybe just how your say it. The lariat would be used at a "lariat rope" and the lasso would be used as he is going to lasso the cow.. Hope this helps. Thanks for the great comments Den. Don.

Only you could make a work of art out of something so simple Don. The detail is remarkable and the tones are spot on. Lariat! Now there's a word that takes me back to my childhood. Haven't heard it for ages. Is there a difference between a Lariat and a Lasso?

Very nice detail in this image Don. I can even see the very fine strands on the rope and the textures in both the rope and on the post are great. I love it in B&W. Looks like something that came off a classic tall ship. Lovely tones and shadows and nice lighting too. Great idea very well captured Don.

Thanks also for your comment on my Yosemite image.

Cheers - Ann :)
