About Nothing feels better than the first ray of sun, when you are shivering at -5C, 4000mt above sea level.
This shot was taken at the Geothermic Park of el Tatio, 50miles north of San Pedro de Atacama, Chile. Since the geyser are best seen early in the morning, we had to wake up at 4am to be there at 6am, just in time for a stunning dawn.

I agree with Ann. Some shots are worth the sacrifice. Only those who have done it, know. Wonderful composition. The mist, the silhouetted mountains, the sunburst all combine to make a great photo.

Donato it was well worth the freezing for such a dramatic photo. The clouds of steam are wonderful as if painted into a scene and the sun rising is just stunning. Having this image in B&W gives so much more feeling. The tones are wonderful. Amazing and beautiful image. Well done. Now go freeze some more to bring us some more stunning images to view. :)

Cheers - Ann :)
