Great wildlife shot. Good composition; would be even better if you crop off the top 10%. / suvro at SlideFilmScan.com

Hello,

Thank you so much!! :)))
It would be great if you could send me the original - for the printed newspaper the better quality it has, the better. And if you have more pictures of this beautiful cat, could you send them too? :)
My e-mail is here: scorpy.mrokness(at)gmail.com
You could also mail me your postal address in the USA, so I could send you the magazine when the article appears. I think that it would be out in May as it appears once in a month.
If I could help you in any way too, let me know and I'll be happy... :)

All the best,
Ania

I love this picture. Margays are beautiful and very interesting cats :)

Actually, I was browsing usefilm looking for margay's pictures for a series of articles about wild cat species I'm writing for a Polish magazine about cats :) Unfortunately, we don't have margays in zoos in Poland... You are so lucky you had a possibility to see those wonderful cats :) I was wondering - would you agree for using your pictures in my article?... :)

Best wishes from Poland,
Ania

Hi Pat,
Thanks for visiting me again.
As most wild animals they don't make good pets.
They are ok pets for the first months of their life, but them when they reach puberty is more difficult to handle them. Besides, the protection status of this cats was upgraded to CITES (Convention International Trade in Endangered Species) Appendix I in 1989. That means that it's prohibited to keep them as pets.
I am glad you like this one.
Take care.

beautful capture, as are so many of your submissions. If you wanted to improve in photoshop, blur the background for more dramatic effect.

Hi Riny,
You are right. The problem is that I took this picture with a Sony DSC p70 and you can't control the dof of those cameras. Unfortunately at that time I did not have my 20 D.
I promise you next margay I take would look much better.
Take care and tanks for taking the time and commenting on my pictures.
