Wow, this is really cool! It reminds me of the Swedish film The Seventh Seal, in which death was spotted playing chess on the beach with a man. Guess he got stuck on the pier eh? ;-)

I agree a very moody and dramatic piece. I too love the unattached dock and the diagonal water lines really play up the mood. Excellent work

... for the careless swimmer?
I like the strong mood in this image. There may be symbolism in the fact that "Death" is standing on an unattached dock.
I wish this site had black pages, because white is too bright, it keeps the eyes from seeing the details in the very dark parts of photos, especially near the borders.
