I think your focus is right on. It allows us to see what red and blue means. Had it been the closer pin, the others would have been blurry and the interpretation lost.

Last, but by no means least, I MISS having a Clothes Line. I live in a Masonette in London/Middx Borders and have to dry my clobber indoors. I miss that frsh air smell, and the fact that Mother Nature Irons them pretty good too lol.

Hi Mike,
I like this shot for a number of reasons.
Firstly, whether you meant it or n ot, I like the fact that you focused on the 2nd peg and not the first.
Secondly, I support Man Utd, so the Reds v Blues caught my eye lol.
And Thirdly, you've got a good Cornish surname, Cheers M'ansome.

Thanks for your comments. It's also good to hear someone likes my work already. I was actually thinking of taking the shot a little to the left, but my brother's bandanna was hanging on the line - which would lose the primary focus of the pegs. However, this would have reduced the distractions in the background and pushed the bandanna (which was also blue) and the blue barrel more directly into the view, further going with the theme 'red vs blue'.

Hahaa.. you just found a huge fan with my girlfriend. She saw this image and went WOW! Hah.
I like it aswell, backgrounds a bit busy though. Good to see another Aussie here.

Hey Michael, this is an interesting shot. I like the way the beam of the Hills Hoist is parallel to the grass edge, and the fact that the object in the foreground isn't the focus makes the picture a bit out of the norm....always a good thing:)
Personally I wouldn't have sharpened the image to the extent that you have (the grass begins to look like hundreds of worms, on my screen), and that tiny missing part of the front peg would be handy, but still a great pic. I enjoy seeing your perspective; you highlight in your photographs details of daily life that might otherwise be missed...looking forward to seeing more!

Hi Michael .. well as you said yourself these kinda shots are usually taken with the closest subject in focus.. anyway you have acheived a cool result doin' the opposite .. well done .. nice composition .. I like it how the peg in the front covers this much of the image .. only the trees in the background are a bit distracting ..
