Timur, Thank you for your very generous comment. I think a Monarch is one of the most beautiful butterflies. I appreciate your taking time to comment on my posts. Best Regards, Ceceilia

Deb,
I know you are excited about being able to photograph at a Butterfly Park. You can take your photographs with your existent lens. Since it is not a macro take them at 300mm, set on shutter priority 500-600. Use manual focus. You should get some great DOF. Good Luck, Ceceilia

I have been there before but this time I will potograph butterflies there. I have a 70-300 AF G with out macro. Can you give me some idea as to how to appreach butterflies while photographing them ?

Thank You Susie, In all honesty the Monarchs chose the flowers. I planted four varieties of Butterfly bush, among several other butterfly attractants. I think it is working.
Sincerely, Ceceilia

Beautiful monarch. How wonderful that they migrate past where you are. I love the flowers that you choose for your photo shoots!

Thank You, I am trying to get the Monarchs to the last one. This is one of the prettier ones we have seen this fall. She is all in one piece.
Regards, Ceceilia
