Ray, my dear man. You definately did nothing to upset me. There has just been way too much going on in the past few months. Besides the planned things; our daughter got ill, our dog had a stroke and had to be put down, now we are leaving again tomorrow as our grandaughter has pneumonia and my daughter can't take any more time off work, so I will look after the baby. My energy supply has been over stretched and challenged. Also, my time for UF has been limited. I just couldn't keep up and now I will be away again. From my postings you can see that my soul is refreshed by admiring glorious sunsets at the lake. Also, sitting on the beach under the splash of the Milky Way and a canopy of stars is my place of solitude. Too bad we had very little time there in August and are now closed for the season. Whatever, everyone's life is more full than it should be lots of times. Thanks for the very encouraging comments you left me. You take good care, my friend.

Hi John. I don't think I had my poloriser when I took this. Now that I have one, I will have to find time to experiment more. However, this day, I really liked the way the clouds were reflecting on the water. The lake was so calm and mirror-like and the sky so bright.

As an amateur in this hobby ...I would say that the stones in the front side are the ones to give the best effect of the photo...and of course then are the clouds reflected in the water so nicely and giving a peacefull thought..

Wow! If I wanted to quibble I would give you the standard advice to NEVER have you horizon line in the centre of the frame. But rules are made to be broken, and in this case the image is beautiful AS IS.
***** I know .... you should NEVER start a sentence with "but", but in this case it works too.

Hi Del. Thanks for your comment. I have a number of shots from different spots. Some are pretty much the same without the rocks, but somehow they looked less interesting and the sense of distance wasn't the same. So, I preferred including the rocks. So far, people like them.

I expect some will suggest you should have croped out the rocks in front, but I like how they give depth to the photo. Sort of a point of reference to guess at the distance of things in the photo. Del.

Hi Toshi. Originally, there were more rocks in the foreground. I liked them, but unfortunately, they seemed to take up too much of the picture and overpower the sky. That's why I cropped them out.
