Ok Ok...how did I do it?? It's been a while since I created this image, but if I remember correctly...
I used the Selective Color feature in PhotoShop to desaturate the yellows, which took all of the color out of most of the flower. Then I erased the effect on other portions of the flower.
There you have it! Thanks for your comments.

Wow! You must drop everything and explain how you did that! Is it black and white with the stamens in color? Did you convert the image to B&W and then reconvert the stamen tips back into color? Did you find a magic photography genie? Such a nice and intriguing image.
