The blown out background doesn't bother me a bit, Amit - if you had to choose one or the other (and you did), you chose the right one. :)
If you were shooting RAW you should be able to process twice and save both subject and background.

You are right Riny. The bears were sitting under a shade and it was difficult to meter adequately. Also caught this in the heat of the moment. I have other images with proper exposure but not with such drama. I will upload another one later.
