Thankyou Tobiah. Yes you are right. As I stated on the first image of this series, these images were taken in late afternoon under a heavy shadow of a large pavilion. I was behind a fence so whilst I was using a flash, the distance covered by the flash was not sufficient for these shots. I had the camera lens through the fence so unfortunately the flash was restricted also.
These were unplanned shots so I had to make do with what I could. I could've used a fill flash on the pc but wanted to keep them as natural as I could without making the lighting irregular, other than what it already is.
I hope that makes sense.

I 've seen a couple of these that you've done now. I think the idea and composition are wonderful. But I believe that the lighting is something to be desired. I'm unsure if you've used a flash or if this was natural light... in either situation I wish you would have had a fill on the bottom of the player and on the front side of the basket. As it looks right now, the basket is REALLY lit up on the backside and not at all on the front side. The player is light up on the top half, but not on the bottom. I think that with a fill flash, you could have really made these... or this... photo really POP.
Everyone has had such nice things to say and I think it is a nice image, but I think that it could have been better I guess.

Ha thats the curse of being a photographer.
I often shot international sporting events when I worked for the AIS and people would ask what I thought of the event.
My reply was "I didnt see it, I was too busy taking photographs' :)
