wonderful view of this gerber daisy laurie, the back is a view rarely viewed and you captured it so well, the lighting is amazing as well, great use of a flash or studio light

Linda, Thanks! I tried this one in black and white as well, but the color worked a lot better with the background. I think daisies are the happiest of all flowers and I can't help but smile whenever I see them. Glad you liked this one. :)

You have a fabulous touch for finding the best of an image Laurie. This is a lovely photo and refreshing in that it doesn't show the more usual (cliche?) view of the front. Lovely fine detail, perfect exposure and excellent composition make this a winner in my view...

Thanks P.J.! I should probably be more careful when I choose my words. When I said that I liked images that focused on the back of the flower, I didn't mean focus in the photographic sense. I just meant that I liked pictures of the back of the flower. Although the image probably would have been better if my focus was crisp on the petals and the green furry part. I'm still working on appropriate shutter speeds and apertures. For me its still a lot of trial and error when it comes to that.
