I love the reflection. I do think maybe a tripod would help. It looks blurry but could be my monitor. Usiing a tripod then you can use a larger aperture. or whatever it is. around F 2.8 or something and really focus on the drop and reflection. Also maybe back up a little and use the zoom. I might go to the Botanical Gardens Saturday morning and will check out the flowers.

Lovely picture. Great looks great. I can't offer any suggestions. All I can say is, you did wonderfully well for your first attempt. I have been experimenting with shots of smaller things like this and have had no luck at all. It is not an easy thing to do. With this being your first, I'm sure you're going get some marvelous ones. Thanks for looking. It was the biggest in the bunch, but a very small raindrop - only about 1/4" in diameter - so not much more that I could do that way. I was so close that I had to manually focus, then wait for breeze to die down... it was fun! I'll keep trying, tho.

i have no hints, all i can tell you is that this is very creative. I don't know if you have the lenses or camera to accomplish it, but if you could get closer to the raindrop that'd be great, its such a small part of the picture as it is now. Love the border and the focus though.
