About I am by no means an expert at anything but I thought I would share my technique, on doing these water drops so others on Usefilm could join in the fun. My set up is pictured below. This my second in my series of showing my secrets, Next will be water drops in a bowl of water.

This is so beautiful! A few years ago I bought a calendar of all "dew drops" it was gorgeous, my favorite calendar ever actually... maybe you should think of doing something like that with your beautiful work.
Just a thought.
Regards,
Cheri

Another creative water drop photo from you! You have already spurred some attempts with RainX among my friends... now we will all be using Purell Hand sanitizer!

Though I think I might prefer RainX because the drops look more spherical. However, the clarity of the drop here is really really nice. And I love the flower you choose because it has a lot of very nice detail.

Another excellent shot...I tried your tip, but I think I got the wrong cleaner, it was liqued and did not stay on the flower till I click .

Purell is a type of hand cleaner that does not require water , It comes in a pump or squeze bottle and you can use it anywhere to clean your hands . It contains alcohol and so cleaning agents and dries in seconds without the use of a towel or cloth.

This is my set up for shooting my drops with available light .
I place the flower near a window and arrange it so the flower is back lit.
I used a zoom lens this time with the 25mmextension tube .
When you use an extension tube the lens will have a very narrow range of focus, if you use a zoom lens you move the zoom in and out to focus the image much easier than the focus ring. As with the other droplet picture I used Purell Hand sanitizer instead of water , it give you a much bigger drop that hangs on longer than water and it is crystal clear. The aperture was F29 and the shutter speed was 8 seconds.
