Very beautiful, symmetrical composition, good tones among difficult, backlight conditions. Grat: György

No, it was a full blown snow storm, not fog. On boxing day last year. If you look closely you can almost see where the power lines are. We woke to 10 foot snow drifts. Thanks for the comments everyone!

Really good shoot. I love the homogeneity between the dress, the curtains and the white background of the windows.

Congratulations

Julio.

A beautiful picture, lovely light, delicately traded B&W tones... One very very minor niggle. I don't get any sense that she is watching a STORM. I suppose "Watching the fog" would not be as attractive a title.

What I really like about this picture is the girl's left foot hanging back and her being slightly off center.. It seems to me a statement that, no matter how much you want to control a child, she will always find a way to be a child. Even if I'm reading too much into the picture, it's very, very lovely.
Congratulations.

A breathtaking study in white light, soft and delicate tones, and symmetry. Very, very well done.

This is a nice argument for black and white. The range of texture and light, from hard to soft, combines really well with the emotional impact of the little girl. I like the visual progression from the blown out windows to the greys of the wall and floor.

The symmetry speaks a lot in this capture. it's a simply design idea which showes a good harmony and purity. the black & white tones indeed can enhance it easily. using the angle against the light is perfect. also technically in the DIG formats not using iso higher than "ISO 400" is a helpful for quality and keep sharpness. just pitty for lack of light on the hairs that's a bit distract!

Hi great composition and grand mastery of the gray tones . I wonder how the picture would have looked with a little of detail in the windows (I guess it would lose it's impact ) . Rgds

Wow! Beautiful light! It's so extremely balanced that I have to comment on the girl that doesn't stand extactly in the middle, but that's also something that makes it alive somehow. Great job anyway.

Hi Louise,

I really like the details in this picture. The way her dress works together with the fabric of the curtains, the left feet lifting her up, the white windows etc. Great feel to this picture!
