James, Thanks for your compliments. Murano is indeed the island of the glass factories. The glass works were "relocated" to that island way back when in order to reduce the fire hazard to the city.
The colors are really remarkable and seeing people "drive up" in their own boats for ice cream in the evening is a very unusual experience.

Amitava.... I've been to Murano in the past. As I remember it's a short boat ride from Venice. I'm quite partial to this photo with the lovely colours. Unfortunately, when I was in Italy, I was a terrible photographer.
You've done nicely with this shot.
Is this the island where they blow a lot of glass? or is that another place?

In this shot, since I was going for the colorful walls of the buildings, I did not retain much of the water in the original crop. Next time may be I'll take your suggestion.

Very good street photo. Nice cityscape. If you can show little bit more boats or water...Is original has the same crop? Any way, I like it, beautiful color and nice atmospher. Best wishes Amitava, Lena
