Ed. Your bio photo makes me giggle. I took a shot very much like this one at a stop in Texas... I love this Newcastle Gray shot too. Very well composed I think. -Denise

Adrian Thanks for your comments. I know Jasper Johns to an extent - and really like his stuff. almost Op Art at times... Have just checked out Ed Ruscha as not familiar with him. I see how this carries across into your work, interesting. I quite like the use of text/lettering but often hard to pull off to create something that is interesting enough as it's 2d...hmmm very good. All the best for now...

Hi, ed, this is quite amazing. I prefer the original version, the overall softness of tone seems to complement the building shape. I'm interested in what you say about your 'muses'; I'm a great haunter of the art galleries in Edinburgh, both permanent collections and special exhibitions, which inspires me to make images, though not necessarily particular shots or styles. I enjoyed the Ed Ruscha and Jasper Johns shows recently, do you know their work? To some extent, my starting to look for detail in real things, that might be (mis)interpreted as abstract art, is inspired guys like them.

Hi Peter. Thanks so much for your feedback, which was great to have. I actually fiddled with the levels for a while, and settled for one which made the building melt into the sky deliberately. Looking back, your levels bring out the sky which make it more interesting, so you are right really. Thanks and best Ed

Amazing composition. I agree with the level correction too.

Very good composition ! The clouds really match the structure .. adding more level correction would make these textures come foreward more pronounced. I add a little try of myself ! Peter
