HI Peter,
Very unusual image, bold, chunky, different. I think that since this image IS so bold, I would position such that the focal point is dead center! That's just my thought of course.

Gravelines is 10km west of Dunkerque, almost along the motorway to the Channel tunnel. It's a very quiet little town with Vauban fortifications, and a canal (river Aa) leading straight to sea, borded by 2 walking piers. Alongside you find beach, slikke- and schorre, and the EDF atomic central. And a few km further is the port of Dunkerque, having the size of half Antwerp or Rotterdam, 3th port of France ... so much to see there in a space of 20km !!

Hi Peter, it has a nice summery feeling about it. Warm, humid and tranquil. It looks like a Noise Reduction opaque tone, almost painted, over this image, which I get when I edit a NEF file in the camera provided software, and I think it's very fitting here. It reduces the textures a bit, but that's not a bad thing in this case. Good job!
