Jon, I just like the original one! Go back to it!
It makes me think of the model being illuminated by a wood fireplace crackling up...I don't think it's too "thick".
It stands out nicely from the dark background...btw, is she Monica or Angelina J. ?

I assume she is about 24 yrs. the second shot seems greenish. Well the orange side was better, try to make it lighter or slightly to the brown.
I would appreciate if you can comment on any of mine. Negative comments are welcome, I still needs to learn more.
