Hi Regina. This elephant was in a group of young males without females. The guide said they were a bit frisky due to hormones. He was just testing to see if he could scare us off, failed, so just watched us from about 10m away.
Brilliant capture! Well composed, and fills the frame! I presume it is towards evening, as I see a faint ray of evening light fall on the forehead! Makes the picture look very warm!
I love these gentle giants! They are so majestic, and yet very sensitive, and in India there are a number of places around where I get to shoot them! I will post some of mine very soon!
