Hi John, Apart from the slight noise in the image, an excellent shot. It looks like the softness is also induced by a relative slow shutter, which makes this image. It adds a bit of dynamism, but also something leasurely and pleasing. A bit more sharpness and dodging the heads a bit, making the bird's eyes come out a tad better would finish it completely. Good job!

Excellent shot. The are called Java Finches or Java Sparrows. They are native to areas of Africa. You will now find them in many countries especially as caged birds. They come in a variety of colours including all white. They prefer arid country or semi-desert but near surface water. Hope that helps. Judi
