About The is the second in my series on Desi. She's an experienced model and actress who knows exactly what to do for the camera. I hope to get another shoot going with her again soon.
I used two flash units to achieve this shot, one with a red gel on it for extra warmth.

Thilo,
You're right about the shadow on the chin. I hadn't really noticed that. I was wrapped up in the shadow of the champagne flute but missed this one. The glow of the diamond was a subtle effect that I added in PS. I hope it doesn't distract. I tried to be subtle with it.
Thanks for your time and comments!

Dear Erik,

the lighting really works better in this picture. good to have two flashes at hand ;-)
colors are splendid, the look and the lips are amazing. nice to have the glow around the diamond ;-)
small thing: The flash burned some shadow on her chin. they distract a bit.
good work!
take care,
thilo

Nah -

I can't bring myself to shoot people (no pun intended) -

I'm of the old school... I believe photographing people chips away at their souls......

Other people can do it for me - I'm just too afraid to......

Your wife's going to get pretty upset soon if you keep hanging around other beautiful women. You're much safer with mannequins. Another nice job pal.

Thanks Cary. Yea, that shadow bothers me a little also. I don't mind the shadow of the flute, but that one is a bit distracting.

Eric

Thanks for the note. You do seem to getting the "hang" of this "type" of photography. shooting models is not easy. look at all the stuff posted so much is so so. but your results show a knack and understanding of the craft.
have a good weekend

Oh Ya Erik, very very nice, great lighting and a beautiful model, sure helps have a pro handy, doesn't it? I like the additonal accent lighting, little awkward shadow by the nose, excellent clarity and exposure, CAry

Very funny Jim, although I find myself partial ina funny way to your little stinker. Exploring this type of photography has been a lot of fun. I live in LA, I might as well. Thanks for the comments Buddy!
