I like how the oval/V of darkness frames this disturbing shot, which is also amusing. The slightly bloated quality of the pose--or it is the distortion of the lens?--emphasizes the effect. The overall gray tone of the photo is starkly intruded upon by the tat, which in this context, adds a visual pun as well as a visual shock. As usual Jay, so much going on here, effectively captured.
