Well... not today... or Yesterday... More like 3 days ago! ;-) With our cameras we can give eternal life to beautiful flowers and they will never fade!

Lovely closeup, and lovely inner "ball" of beaty protected by soft and silky petals!

Mr C. - this is a fantabulous image! Strong contrasts - how well the frame is complimenting it!

This could only be in white to produce this eye-catching image.

Fabulous angle and macro - elegant.

It's a WOW! :-)

Good question, Roger ~ and, to be honest, I haven't got a clue! I haven;t changed all that much on the D70 yet as all I've wanted to do is to take pictures! My wife says I should read the manual, but then she always does!! :>)

As far as white balance is concerned this was taken on the default setting in natural light and I was very happy with it.

The main is that there's no question that this is a major step up from my 602!!

Have a great weekend ~ what's left of it!

Kind regards, Chris

Tomorrow it is... (we're 9hrs ahead!). Beautiful, delicate pink, isn't it! Do you have to tell the auto white balance function NOT to neutralize this? Or can the automatic AWB function be trusted? (You can see I'm getting interested...)

Chris this is excellent it's simple yet dramatic. The crisp white petals remind me of a tuxedo shirt.

Hi Chris,
Wonderful photograph of this flower! I really like the lighting and shadows on it. It would have caught my eye also!
