Thanks Kim. I haven't printed this one yet, and if I did, I would have to recreate the photo again for print resolution. This one was made for the web.
Fortunately, the filter I use, called Virtual Painter, gives me a tremendous amount of control over the final results.
I have also been working lately, printing my photos to canvas and stretching them like oil paintings. This allows me to display them without having to cover them with glass.

It's like cross-stitch and some form of painting mixed together... what a unique perspective! The original looks like a great photo to beging with as well... I really like the form of the man, with his head turned to one side, and the little dog walking beside him. Have you made these into prints at all? Just curious how they translate to paper?

It helps to know this was taken some 20 years ago - aligning my interpretation with the evocation of memories. Their layers, I wonder, are peeling off ? or are they brought back by a restoration ? Fine work, technically impressing and emotionally charged.

Amen! This is wonderful...a terrific creation using a compelling image. The textures add intrigue; it seems like I could touch the canvas and feel layers of paint.

John, once again you have found a way to use the creative side of your brain to the positive! I live this one. Lots of texture and a lot to keep you interested in the work. Keep up the great job of getting people over the fear of using tools to create art. I love your creative expression.
