thank you for kind suggestions! however, I think if I had made such a centrilized cropping the portrait would be just another group photo... which I most like in this group is this "odd" distribution, the assimetry. Addittionally, I don?t crop my photos. best regards,

A nice informal group portrait. I think you have lost some shadow detail. I recently got a Nikon CoolScan V ED for slides and film. If you aren't satisfied with the HP I recommend the Nikon highly. I suggest that the eccentric location of the group to the right of the frame has no purpose or, to put it another wasy, there is no reason to include so much of the stairs on the left. Better, I think, to move in a little closer with your M3 and crop tighter.

thank you a lot for you clever observation!... it wasn?t my idea, since I just took a photo for then. ... but always there is a "cold war" beteeween boys and girls about that age, isn?t there? ;-)

it is an excellent shot, anyway...i really like the composition - kind of "girls against boys", the youngest and most fragile on the boundary...wonder whether that was your idea or theirs.

thank you Mark for support!... i?m crazy about this HP scan!... there is no control of what i?m trying to scan, the negative/slide mode don?t work (software problem!). I simply used a lamp on the negative and inverted the color image... this was the better that i could get for now! i?m sorry...

Beautiful image, lousy scan (scanner). Does not do justice to the quality of the camera & lens, but nevertheless, I can appreciate the fine composition and quality.
