I've looked at this about 8 times now trying to figure out why I like it so much. I think it's not only the great colors, but my mind just can't seem to get the scale here. How big are these things? Are those large rocks, small stones or pebbles on the ground? With the colors and lighting, there's something almost "otherworldly" about it. Only thing I wonder about is what it would look like if I could see more texture on the tree bark (or maybe they are just smooth).

Well, I will tell you what I did... and I got this result from the lab... it was 15 minutes before sunset, near a hot spring, 200 km southern Cairo... the place is desert, surounded by red hills and mountains... and I fixed the cokin mount, and tried different filters, 80A, B and 81 A, B... among other colored ones like graduate sepia, sepia, yellow (B&W filter)... and probably the Blue filter, on the worm colors of the sky, brought that purple look. I was experiencing, and I hope I helped in a way.
