I have always loved these images of paddy fields. The symmetry at work is very pleasing and soothing. It reminds me of an elaborate Zen garden... beautiful image

You really have a good eye. I love the composition and using the hill as the backdrop. I think it could be improved though. It would be nice to see more saturation (less haze) between the fore and backgrounds, I just feel they have to much seperation. Shooting at different times of the day might work, if the subject is around, and you may find a time with less harsh light works better too. Also I see a bit of red in the farmer, and if he were closer I think that red more present would play well against the background.

These are just thoughts, I really enjoy the piece, Keep on shooting, you do great work. Cheers

Shiv, fantastic capture in this image. Love the beautiful patterns. Thanks for your comments on my work. Yes, I like music quite a lot. I used to play classical guitar quite a bit, but haven't played for few years already due to other priorities and newer hobbies, of course, like photography :) My good next cube colleague is from India, I think from Dehli. Where is Pradesh?

One of the most beautiful India's landscape I ever saw, perfect composition with the oblique in the foreground and the splendid contrast and depth, attractive light. Brilliant.

Surya, nicely done, the bush gives the sense of depth required to appreciate the distance.
I too would like to see a little more satutated colour which could be achieved in editing.
For example:
But that might take away the light airy feel I suppose.
Great that we can so easily make these choices. I like it either way.

Hello Shiv:

An astounding photo. The perspective is amazing, as is the way you managed to capture the field worker at the apex of the contours below. The only possible improvement I can imagine would be a little curves adjustment to cut some of the haze in the background. Certainly, not so much as to eliminate the haze altogether, but just enough to add some color saturation to the hillside and trees.
Best--Jim

shiv, what an impressive landscape and very well taken. possibly a little less exposure had improved even more. if i try to imagine the hard work of the farmers!

Hi Shiv - this is a great shot - excellent composition and really originally. Thanks for the encouraging Comment on my photo - I travelled 6 weeks from Mumbay all the way to Kerala (spent some time in Kovalam, Hampi, Goa, Trivandrum, varkala). India is - from my point of view - the best "place" in the world for making good photos - I travelled a log (I'm 40) but never had so many motives like in india. actually for the first time in my life I regret no to carry a video-cam (I think it's hard enough to make good photos), but in india I had many situations where a video-camera would have been nict to make a movie.
Regards Gerhard

Lovely shot. Himachal Pradesh is my favourite tourist destination. I have been to Himachal sever times. Manali , and Chail are amongst my favourites. Plan to visit Sarhan in the near future. Thesse paddy feilds look lovely when they are green during the rice sowing season. Lovely shot and congratulations.

Unusual and even a bit startling image. One does not take into account that after reaping the paddies will be empty. Great capture, well done!

A supperb shot, excellent composition, details, depth and perspective. A perfect 7 on all counts ( a minor point- Wondering...if you tried to stop-down one tep and saturate the color a bit more).
