yes the print has been toned. the top left corner is dark because the sun is in the middle of the frame and the underexposure required to achieve this kind of image has resulted in the best exposure in the middle of the frame and less as one moves towards the edges of the frame. also the darkness towards the edges keeps the picture from being too flat.

Ah ... borivali national park.... my favourite haunt when I was in college
at IIT-Powai ...i sure miss the place :)
Have you sepia toned this picture or something ? ... i would have preferred the top
left corner of the picture to be a little less dark so as to provide more
definition to the tree branches there ... but that is just me ...
