Mary,
I love my F707 Sony. It does so many things well. I haven't found a camera which is so versatile, yet provide such crisp images. This is my first digital, and has inspired me to move up. I now find myself pondering a Canon EOS-1Ds, or when Nikon releases their new 14 mp version. Big bucks, but these cameras really transcend emulsion results. The F717 is the more recent version of the 707, adds histogram display, changes and adds other features, such as a hot shoe (something I desperately miss for studio work). I?m a straight amateur, but wish to do portraits part time in the future. -- Jeff - Seattle, WA

Good work - the shadows of the roof beams along the edge are the ultimate touch in detail - you've done excellent work here...the tonal range is fairly balanced - maybe a bit heavy on the blacks but not bad...
Quick question - (still trying to convince myself to hold out). I almsot talked myself into a Sony F707 but am trying to convince myself to hold out for a Canon D7.
What are your thoughts on your camera?

This is wonderful work. You have achieved what you were looking for. The tones are great. IR is not easy to work with. Yours looks very sharp. Excellent work. Don.

Hi Jeff, one of the first digital infrared one's I do like. Normally they just appear as a tric. You did very nice work here and the contrast is wellbalanced. Compliments.

Well Jeff you did great here...I too have been doing the same things... It is hard not to blow out the whites sometimes. This is a cool subject as you have mentioned before. Has a good amount of foliage for the Infrared effect you were looking for I think. Nice simple black frame as well. It all comes together nicely to make a nice IR shot here...Oh...Nice camera by the way!
