You do not need to go for the fastest shutter speed for moving objects. Any value which will not make the object blur. I am normally using the AV mode. So all I have to worry on aperture. Only if its needed I use manual or TV mode. Regards

That was wrong information. I used 50mm f 1.8 II. I was playing with shutter speed. I read in book that when shooting moving objects I should try using the fastest speed the lens will permit. Guess I still need to work on it. As always thank you for you helpful critiques. Best Wishes, Linda

Hi Linda, Ultimately you found a beautiful butterfly... I am really glad to see. Is it the kit(18-55mm) lens you are using? Its really hard to capture macro with that lens. Focus on the head of the insect & do some processing in Lightroom or Photoshop to get the best out of a image. regards.

Hey Lina, although the butterfly is out of focus and the white spots on the wings are over-exposed!

WHAT YOU HAVE THERE IS A FRITILARY. THERE ARE MANY SPECIES OF THESE GUYS. A TOP VIEW WOULD DETERMINE WHAT SPECIES IT IS.
