No no, dear have good vision but are colorblind, their hearing is excellent, if you want to chase them, put your car far away, against the wind and dont slam the door, they associate that with hunting. Odor, I was free of deodorant, soap, hairgel and had not taken a shower for a week so I smelled the natural way ;-)

Thanks S Man. Yes, the focussing I knew. I had disabled all beeps and sounds on the camera, including the AF motor, the deer was aware of something/somebody around but I did not want to scare him off with the AF motor noise ;-)
