Athens, Greece....read so many stories on history about them and dreamed as well when I was a child. This picture is very calm yet so much going in it. Does this reflect your mind? I like this poetic picture and you did well to keep in it bw. All emotions.

Dear Baha,
I think life is a joke...
You see, I have moved house BUT , even though Elias has followed me, now he is given a once in a lifetime opportunity to work at a good post in...Athens.My new job cannot be in Athens.We will have to separate for...ever!I am all in tears all the time.I don't know what to do.Any suggestions?I am sure there is no solution, though...Oh , Baha, I cannot even stay in this house now , with that beautiful view...I cannot stay in a remote place like this all alone in winter...I AM SO DISSAPPOINTED!

I have never had a problem with my camera, I guess I am lucky...Remember , you have to be at the right moment to the right place for such images.Still, I think it is not one of the best moments I have captured.Thanks for the answer, I hope your camera will be better soon!!!

Olga, thank you for sharing that info with me about your photo equipment. I guess there is hope for me yet that I may too get such a wonderful image from my machine. I have the exact same camera and lens. My lens however is giving me problems, shutter is sticking and getting "error code 99"...have sent it in for repair once already and it's going back again as problem is worse now then before. Do you have problems like this too with this lens? I hear it is somewhat common. -Brigitte

you took me by surprise...The answer is that I am still not happy.My new job is a mess.I have 252 students!!!! English at schools in Greece are considered to be of secondary importance and every day I go to my 30-membered-classes and I have a cross to bear...So, at least I have this view for the rest of the day to give me some comfort.By the way, thank you for visiting.

If that's what were the view from my house, then surely either I would have gone mad or I would the become the greatest painter the world has ever seen! No wonder Greece has given so many great personalities to the world. I call this photo 'LA VISTA' (The View).
