About	She is the biggest sail cruise ship in the world . The Royal Clipper is the first fully rigged square-rigged ship with five masts since the Preussen, launched in 1902 was then the largest and fastest sailing vessel ever built. Today, the Royal Clipper approximates the Preussen in all major measurements, but is optimised for passenger comfort rather than cargo carrying. The ship, built in 2000, has a gross tonnage of 5.061 tons, a length of 133,8 meters, a beam of 16,45 meters and a draft of only 5,83 meters, She is a fully rigged square-rigged with 42 sails and 5.050 sq. meter of sail area. There are five masts, the tallest of which is 60,04 meter above the waterline. Taken in 2003 in the Great Harbour of Siracusa. Nel lontano 1902 fu varato il più grande e veloce veliero mai visto prima ma il leggendario Preussen dominò tutti i mari solo per breve tempo. Ispirato a questo storico veliero oggi il Royal Clipper ha l'onore di essere il più grande veliero da crociera al mondo e l'unico con 5 alberi a vele quadre. Costruito nel 2000, ha una stazza lorda di 5.061 tonnellate, 113,8 metri di lunghezza, 16,45 metri di larghezza e solo 5,83 metri di pescaggio. Con le sue 42 vele, 5.050 metri quadrati di superficie velica, cinque alberi a vele quadre di cui il più alto è 60,04 metri sul livello del mare offre uno spettacolo unico.

Sure on board ship there are all of modern cruise ship: atrium, dining room, piano lounge, tropical bar, library, observation lounge, underwater lounge, three swimming pools, etc.
When the winds fail, as they do occasionally, Royal Clipper sustains 13.5 knots with a diesel mechanical plant.
So all for one dream cruise. ;-)
