This looks superb in full pano mode - take note, Mirek, and become a donor!
OK, let's start with the negative stuff and get it out of the way. It's a shame about the text splattered all over it, but I fully understand why you need to do it.
And now to the good bits. Well, I find this a wonderful example of making great use of the pano format. In full pano mode, you can scroll around the image and explore it. This also reduces the impression of curvature (although I quite like that effect).
There's a lovely contrast of the golden lights against the blue sky, but I particularly like the way the sky progresses from dusk on the left to almost full night on the right.
I guess composition rules for panos are different from "normal" images, though I've never really thought about it before. I like the perfectly centred vessel, and the balance of vessels and gantries either side.
The curving foreground provides a great frame that seems to cup the main subject.
The stitching is nicely done - I've looked for the tell-tale signs but they are not evident.
This would look great on the wall of reception at China Shipping Line HQ. I see these vessels going past in the Straits of Gibraltar and the sheer size of some of them is breathtaking.

Really nice format for this shot. What is the text all over the image? Is it of a special reason or is it your name?

Hi Mirek,
If you were a donor, you could see this image a bit larger; I posted it at 2500 pixels wide. The original is approximately 12000 px wide. It's a stitch of 14 images, just about 180 degrees, which causes the effect of the converging lines, distorting the straight lines. It's one of the effects I like in panoramic images.

Nice evening exposure. Good mix of cool sky and warm incandescent lights. I wish I could see it bigger, it looks like an interesting shot with an abundance of industrial cranes lace work. I like how their arms seem to converge towards the centre of the photo.
