About After reading an article on using a sbject to almost create a fourth plain in an image by allowing the subject to fill the frame width,I tried to compose these beached fishing boats in such away,it was called continuous banding and the idea was to give better seperation to different plain textures, the four in here being,Pebbles-Boats-Water-Sky.

Great job and thanks so much for the explanation. I see what you mean about the pebbles, the boat and the sea. But I am stumped by your fourth plane being the water. I would think that the "sea" would include the water. So I study the picture and the only thing I can find that led you to conclude sea and water as different planes is the calm and lighter blue part of the water that snakes out to the far sea. And if that is the case, then I do understand because that light blue water does take you out to the sea.
