Dear Stan.
Yes, 400 ISO does a great job.
With my 20D the other options are either ISO 200 or 800. 200 drops the shutter speed to a dangerous level and 800 translates to more noise. When I get the 40D, I will mostly use ISO 320.
And the IS a gift from the gods.
When I compare pics taken with tripod and hand held, there is not difference.
I have been thinking to dedicate a picture to you, but I haven't been able to get to field lately.
Since you like these guys, please accept this dedication.

Great shot as usual Yamil. You do not disappoint me when I see your great shots. The Towhees are some of my favorites. Thanks again for the treat. Does 400 ISO help with the image stabilization. I am trying to get some better pictures and see that is what you usually shoot. Also high speeds on shutter must be a plus. Thanks for posting those. I am using a 28-300 telephoto and am trying to get better shots with the birds.
