I've got some low-key shots from this session, Mark.
I intended this aperture for the completely enveloping field of focus. Thanks for the feedback. I could have cranked the strobe down a bit, yeah.

I think this is a pretty good one. Not top 3 but top 5 maybe. What I would have done differently is have a color contrasting background blueish - purple/Lavander OR a solid grey, turned off the fan, AND lowered the light - see that thinning hair spot up front ? (could have used PS on it to fill it in). Actually, on second thought, the fan is OK, but I would not blast them with SO MUCH powerful light - less light, smaller aperature - f/5.6 maybe? You can't let that hair thing go by without correction IMHO. A 6.5 but I'll go 7 since it's a good expression and she's connecting with the camera. Mark, (a man of fair critiques, not a** kissing) Good job for a firt shoot !!
