About	A picture taken in a local zoo, of what is fast becoming, my favorite subject, the prairie dog. I was trying to get a better angle on them, without getting the enclosure in the background, but this was about as low a perspective as I could get short of climbing in to the exhibit! Unfortunately the exhibit also showed the \"native\" habitat which isn\'t all that colorful apparently, so when I saw these two sitting in a pile of half dry, almost green hay I had to try and capture it on film.

Cute photo. We have them around here and they live in prairie and pasture ground, so they are never in very colorful surroundings! :-D
