About "Something" flew through the air above LA tonight. It left what looked like an oily smear in the sky. I took a couple shots, then played around in Photoshop to make the image a bit brighter.

Let me guess... it was to the North-West? More than likely a rocket shot up from Vandenberg AFB headed for space. They send a few up each year and the spent fuel crystalizes in the freezing upper atmosphere resulting in an awesome show of light. You can see it all the way from San Diego if the night is clear. Nice shot.
