An emotive piece for me! It refreshed the memory of long winter we have had here. At first I shuttered feeling the cold in the morning before the sun finds, then slightly warms and carresses one's face. Oh the beauty! Fantastic capture!

Thanks Robert. This was the almost the last snowfall of the season, and it was mostly gone by the end of the day, so I made time to take this shot in the morning. I'm really glad I did.

I've lived near this cabin for years, but never knew about it's original occupant until I looked it up to answer a question from another UF user. This is kinda nice because I took my camera with me on the way to works specifically to photograph this little cabin under snow. (Then afterwards I went to the Starbucks to warm up). The 'about' is really the result of an exchange of info between Michele Carlson and me because she was interested in the history of this cabin, and I decided to look it up. Turns out Michele knew about the original owner, Joaquin Miller -- and I was able to find out how this cabin came to be where it is.
