Hi Todd,
Fantastic view of the female Snowy Owl! I've enjoyed checking out this owl over the past few weeks, and you certainly captured a great moment here... The late afternoon light is wonderful, the details and composition are spot on. Congrats on Photo of the Day... very well deserved award!!!!

Well... I feel sorry for you, never having the excitement of clawing for that last play-off spot. How boring :)
The Leafs will most likely tease us right down to the last game and finish 9th because they lose the last game in a shoot-out :)

Sorry Todd,
Being a devoted Leaf fan, I am not allowed to show any interest in anything in the Ottawa area. :):) So, I am not familiar with those streets. We occasionally get Barred Owls around here, and sometimes even Great Greys. About 10 years ago one of these Snowy Owls paid us a visit at work by perching on one of the light standards in our parking lot. (Markham area) I haven't seen one around here since.
Anyway this really is a beautiful shot, as I said yesterday (the whole series is very nice)
Good to see you get the Photo of the Day award for this one!!

Hi Andre,
I assume you are familiar with Ottawa by your question. This beautiful female is a regular (year to year) on a farm off of Frank Kenny Drive, about half way between Innes Road (Orleans) and Colonial Drive (Navan), on French Hill Road.
