Happy new year Harry!! Wonderful shot...recently I saw an Osprey fishing like this in Florida. What a sight it was, indeed!! Unlike Eagles, Ospreys stay in water like a duck for a while before they fly with or without their catch.....

wow this is the perfect moment captured, I really like the outstreached pose, and the determined stare, great timing, very nice exposure and detail, That nikon seems to work well for you, do you handhold that 2.8 or tripod shoot? thats a pretty heavy lens....
