Erg mooie foto. Een frame is hier niet eens nodig denk ik omdat de banden boven (van de lucht) en onder (van het zand) op zich al een 'breedbeeld' effect geven. De kleuren zijn ook heel helder, en zelfs opvallend kil in relatie tot het onderwerp (strandvakantie). De symmetrie stoort me helemaal niet in tegenstelling tot de bovenstaande commentaren. Maar dat heeft te maken met de rechtlijnigheid die al in de foto opgesloten zit. Erg mooi. Groetjes, Marco.

Wonderful shot here Nick!
You have great use of light and color . . . perfect exposure and a commanding use of DOF!
The composition is a little static, in my opinion, even though the dramatic, incoming waves are providing some motion to the scene. I think you would find a great deal more impact if you would use the rule of thirds when it comes to your placement of the youngster braving the sea . . . perhaps a slightly closer left side crop to make the shot much more dynamic.
I think this is an awesome shot -- and look forward to seeing more of your work!
