Dear Larissa, i have found some post on the internet from other users who have the same problem with you. It's the lens to blame unfortunately it's old technology and it produces vignietting when used with ful frame sensors. Try closing the aperture to avoid it.
To check about those complains take a look at this site : http://www.fredmiranda.com/reviews/showproduct.php?product=152%26sort=7%26thecat=27

Thank you, Pan for you comments. I was thinking that lens Canon 17-35 mm f2.8L USM one of the best.
my regards, Larissa

I like the idea and the way the image composed,, unfortunately this is the defect of the Canon or actually the intelligent of the company most of the Canon lenses can not be exchanged with different Canon cameras such as ,20D lenses with 10D and so on, unlike Nikon where I can use the old lenses with D100.
This is probably you can get it almost using the full angle degrees as, Pan Giannakis mentioned.
Regards
Saeed

Dear Larissa, this is a wonderfull picture with lovely composition and tones!
As for the dark corners, this is a typical symptom of putting lenses that were designed for APS-size sensors (like your 10D for example) into full frame sensors. The only thing you can do to avoid it is to zoom to the tele-end so that the sensor will use more of the central area of the lens instead of the corners.Full frame sensors need REALLY good lenses, or try using the old ones from your film cameras (although you might see some artifacts been generated because the sensor will outperform the resolution ability of the lens).
Take care!

No I think the vignetting adds to the overall idea ...... good one..

Sorry my friend but in order to help you i like you to see this image which been captured by a Canon 15MM Fish Eye, of 180 degree across the diagonal.

the image is very nice here, I understand the superwide angel lenses do creat this vegenating effect but thats only if they are fitted with filters, filters holders, lens hood which are not desinged for that lens.

Other wise they they should not do that .

even the lens Hood which do comes with some lenses it is so designed for that spesific lens and should nevery creat that vegeneting effect if Iam placing that word correctly here, please for give me for my poor English.

Lenses with extreem wide angel degrees like the fish eye of 180 degree also at some circumostances depending the lighting source do creat that effect. I do not mean a full 360 degree circular fish eye here .

All of the best my friend.
