John, I've spent some time looking through your portfolio, and plan to spend more time very soon. You have a wonderful eye. I liked your tulip shots you posted recently, and saw in a comment you made on another image that you may be posting some Smokey Mountain images soon! I find myself drawn to this image because of the wonderful curve of the hill that is mirrored by the underside of the yellow trees. It looks like a reflection...only it isn't. Good eye! You commented that the softness is due to upload difficulties, but it doesn't bother me here.
I just wanted you to know how much I am enjoying your work.

Could your posted file be wider than 640 pixels ? I've had a previous image degraded because it was 688 pixels on one of its side. Usefilm will compress it to fit the 640 pixels maximum. Just an idea, otherwise, I like the composition with its daring horizontal emphasis, counterbalanced by the verticals drawn by the trunks.

Man does this look terrible now that I see it posted. Looks very soft! Trust me it is really tack sharp as the xpan lenses are great! It just does not translate well to a compressed .jpeg! Sorry.
