Wow! Beautifull natural mirror!
We woke up early to pack our stuff and go to the lake. But it was a Rainy, Windy, Cold and Clouded day.
Amazing capture.
Congrats.

Stunning landscape. The reflected mountainscape is unreal looking... but in a good way. Fantastic scenery and exquisitely captured. Super beautiful.

Hi Justina, the subtle haze over the lake is just pure gold. Love the crisp, cool blue tones and the subtlety in the details in this shot, they add up very well. In a way the large amount of crystal clear water and it's perfect mirror emphasises the calmth in this scene, but as the soft clouds in the sky offer more to this image, I'm curious why you decided to place the horizon above the centerline, and not to include a bit more of the sky, cropping off a few inches of the water; the superb reflection of the mountains already provides enough information on the scerene stillness. Great shot!
Cheers,
hugo

Hi Kambiz,
A few years back, when I was planning about a travel to New Zealand, I did a little bit of research and found a number of photos in which Lake Matheson is unbelievably calm. According to the others' travel logs (if I remember correctly), it is quite possible to capture a silky smooth lake early in the morning. (Yet in the end I went to the Franz Josef Glacier instead of the Fox Glacier, hence I haven't gone to Lake Matheson.) If you ever travel to Lake Matheson *and* if you are an early bird, I'll bet you won't be disappointed.

Perfect reflections, great scene and well captured.
I'm debating as to whether the roots extending out from the water are a distraction or not.
Cheers, Chris
