Hi dear Pawel, well thanks again..
Well I'm sure that your next shot would be a perfect one.. anyway with a focal length of 300 and a aperture of F/13 being close to the subject I don't think a higher DOF of the shot would be possible ..
Looking forward to see the next ..
My best regards,
aLi

Am I? but it’s true, I like the asymmetry here! Thanks for your comment about my “bang”, you were right about the DOF- it was a hand-held shot from a short distance at 300 mm focal length and 1/500 sec. and F/13 with flash. Should have used the tripod- I promise the next one would be a perfect one! All the best, Pawel

Hi dear Kiarang many thanks for stopping by and leaving this great comment.. well when I am taking a picture I usually pay a lot of attention to what I'm seeing in the viewfinder and also the possible symmetry of the shot and afterwards when I'm viewing the picture I've taken I usually remember the second I was taking the shot But in this case I don't remember that second so I don't even know if I have cropped this on purpose or not.. I was thinking abou it all after noon, but when I saw another picture I had taken like this I saw that, that picture is cropped in the same way .. that made me more confused.. maybe It seemed more beautiful to me at the time from inside the viewfinder or maybe I had been in a bad angle or position so that I couldn't see through the viewfinder right.. anyway I'll surely try some more compositions if I go back ..
Again thanks for the comment,
My best,
aLi

It is a wonderful creative idea aLi and I love the textures and details of the opening. I like the effect you have achieved with your shot but it is a shame that the camera crop removed the bottom point. Never-the-less I love what you have done. My very best wishes to you as always....Ray

Hi dear Susie .. Many thanks for your comment,I usually pay a lot of attention to symmetry but here I can't remember if I was in a hurry or what but I actually didn't notice this fact while I was looking through the viewfinder and as I Usually don't check the shots that I take right away I missed takin' another one with more symmetry!! anyway.. again thanks for your nice and honest comment,
My very best wishes,
aLi

Beautiful shot Ali. I love the dof you used. I wish the bottom of the point was included as well for symmetry but it's a great shot as is.

Nice creative use of framing. The details in the window (or portal) are captured well. I like the hint of colour in the Mosque walls seen in the background. The lighting overall is just perfect for capturing an interesting mood - looks like it was early morning, or late afternoon/evening. You are a master at using the architure to enhance the image (as evidenced by your many other great pictures).

Thanks for commenting on my Oregon Coast Sunset picture, I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts on that photo.

It is a beauty, nonetheless. The soft quality gives a romantic, mystical quality that seems most appropriate to the subject here. This has a wonderful style and makes a very effective image. You might be interested in some of my experiments with such subjects: I tried taking two shots identical except for having one with focus on the closer element, the "frame," and the second with focus on the distant one. Then make a composite of the two with foreground and background relatively sharp. Examples:

Best of luck,
