Nice shot John, I like the idea of the crab being there, but its a little difficult to make out. Would be great to get up close to the crab and use the coast line as the backdrop. Its a really nice part coastline,If this is a local spot it would be worth trying to do some nice sunsets/sunrises.

John, I like this wide angle photo concept and think yours is well done. I rather think the choice of foreground object is the most important because it is the first thing looked at. So I recommend care in picking shape and size of the foreground rock and ensuring it is still adequately in focus. There are obviously many variations of foreground possible here! Eb Eb

John, I like the composition with the rocks in the foreground, however I think it needs something else as a subject as well, perhaps in the background. Maybe a rising sun or something early in the morning. That would also create a mood with warmer colours instead of harsh shadows. Shame the crab didn't feature in a bigger role. I didn't know it was there and went looking for it. Good depth of field, nice crop but can be better I reckon. Hope it helps!
