About
Here's another shot from the lovely Adelaide Botanic Gardens, which was taken in daylight - I edited out the majority of the photo, which you can blatantly observe if the brightness is turned up. I'm not sure what species of flower it is, feel free to add any information if needed. Regardless of that, enjoy!
So lovely yellow Lilly, what a perfect floral composition with bold colours. Well toning shot, nice play with light/shadow. Great natural composition. A fine work, well done!
An impressive use of light and shade on the flower, to get a bright and dynamic tonal range. I would prefer a less centered composition - perhaps croppping a section of the left side would give the feeling that the flower is calling into the darkness. However, then the image would be approximately square and some photographers have a natural dislike for that style. Anyway, good work Michael! Can't wait to see your shots from next time we go there :-)
