Chris - I feel your pain when it comes to focus/DOF and the 60mm lens. I recently bought a 60mm Macro (Nikkor) and try for many of the same macro photos found in your portolio. This is a great shot and one to be proud of.

Well I guess I am old, but black and white is what I started with, now I do like color more in landscaps and seascapes,but I do think that black and White for portraits looks more perfessional, now at the same time I do like color, does this make sence. You have ever right to be happy this your portraits, you have a lovely model, like the pose, the eyes stand out, the light looks perfect. I like the black back ground, make the portrait stand out, excellent job. BK

Hi Chris, the dof is shallow, you should shoot this at 11.0 or higher.The bg will still be out of focus and the flower will be in better focus. I do like the color and the texture of the flower
